At the moment we have a vacancy for the permanent position of AIT Technician. As an Assembly Integration & Testing (AIT) Technician, you will be instrumental in assembling, integrating, and testing our state-of-the-art semiconductor metrology systems within our ISO 5 clean room and laboratories. Your expertise in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering will be essential in ensuring seamless integration of all (sub)modules to deliver high-performing metrology machines to our clients.

Job description

 
  • Assemble and integrate system components based on technical drawings and instructions, including building switch panels, pulling cables, and assembling mechanical parts.
  • Conduct partial tests on semi-finished products and systems, collaborating with team leads and colleagues to ensure quality and performance.
  • Verify the presence and quality of required components before assembly.
  • Follow and enforce all relevant safety procedures, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Work according to planning, timelines, and set tasks, proactively identifying and communicating potential bottlenecks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper usage of materials and adherence to maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues within the integration team and across departments to ensure smooth operations.

Job requirements

 
  • Education in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Avionics, Mechatronics, Maritime Technology, Applied Physics, Nano Technology, Instrumentation, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hands-on AIT activities for complex systems such as semiconductor equipment, satellites, astronomical instruments, or flight simulators.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and measurement equipment.
  • Strong understanding of material properties and their application in system integration.
  • Ability to work on-site (5 days per week) in a cleanroom environment.
  • Resilience to work in high-pressure situations. 
  • Fluency in professional-level English (spoken and written).
  • Must be living in Rotterdam Netherlands, or in the surrounding area within a 45-minute commute to the Location.
