Job description
About the PositionWe are looking for a skilled and motivated AB-Deckhand to join our tugboat crew for an exciting maritime project in Valencia, Spain. As an AB-Deckhand, you will assist in vessel operations, mooring, towing, and general deck maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with mooring, towing, and anchoring operations.
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of the deck and equipment.
- Handle ropes, winches, and other deck gear during maneuvers.
- Support the Master and crew in daily operations.
- Follow safety procedures and maritime regulations at all times.
- Participate in safety drills and emergency response when required.
Job requirements
Requirements:- Valid STCW AB (Able Seafarer Deck) Certificate.
- Experience working as an AB-Deckhand, preferably on tugboats.
- Good understanding of safe working practices on deck.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in challenging conditions.
- Basic knowledge of English (Spanish is an advantage).
- EU citizenship or valid work permit for Spain.
This position is part of the new container quay construction project at the Port of Valencia.
