We are seeking an experienced Assistant Crane Operator to support lifting operations on an offshore heavy lift vessel. This is not a Crane Operator position—the selected candidate will assist in lifting activities but will not operate the main crane.
Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate tugger winches and assist with lifting operations.
- Ensure all lifting equipment is in safe working condition and report any defects.
- Support loading and unloading of supply vessels.
- Conduct routine maintenance and daily inspections of tugger systems.
- Follow QHSE policies and adhere to all project safety requirements.
- Work closely with the Crane Operator and Barge Master to execute lifts safely and efficiently.
Job requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore lifting operations.
- Strong understanding of lifting procedures and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems used in lifting equipment.
- Offshore survival and safety training as per industry standards.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from the Crane Operator.
