Looking for a temporary job as HSE Site Manager in Germany? Atlas Professionals in Bristol, United Kingdom is always looking for new Renewables;Offshore Wind;Onshore Wind professionals. At the moment we have a vacancy for the position of HSE Site Manager.

Job description

 
  • Oversee and manage the implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at the project site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of site-specific HSE plans, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and company standards.
  • Coordinate the site safety induction and training programs for all new employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety signage are appropriately utilized and maintained across the site.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, ensuring detailed reporting and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation as required for internal and external audits.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through regular safety meetings, tool-box talks, and continuous engagement with the workforce.
  • Monitor and manage waste disposal, hazardous materials, and environmental impact in accordance with applicable environmental laws and regulations.
  • Ensure emergency response procedures are in place, including the availability of first aid and firefighting equipment.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other departments to integrate HSE considerations into all phases of the project, from planning through to execution.
  • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and workplace inspections to ensure all legal and corporate compliance requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including managing pollution control measures, waste management, and energy efficiency.
  • Manage and report on HSE performance metrics, analyzing trends and providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, local authorities, and external stakeholders on HSE-related matters as needed.

Job requirements

  • Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, etc.).
  • Proven experience in a similar HSE management role, preferably within industrial or construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk management, and emergency response protocols.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver HSE training programs effectively.
  • Proficient in the use of safety management software and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
