Job requirements
Your role as Production Mechanic:
As a Production Mechanic you will work on large steel constructions (motion compensated gangway systems) for the offshore industry. Your job is to carry out assembly activities in a safe manner. You do this by working according to strict procedures so that the end product meets the highest quality requirements. From time to time, and if it fits your personal situation and ambitions, you will have the opportunity to go abroad and help our Maintenance colleagues on a job in the field.
Your working day:
You start the day by putting on your overall, stiffening your laces and putting your helmet firmly on your head. After this you are ready to go! You head to the day start where all the tasks for that day will be assigned. As safety is one of your (and our) core values you always prepare your work carefully, sometimes alone and sometimes with your colleagues. You do a toolbox talk, in which you discuss the procedures and safety rules. Then you execute your work and take care of a high-quality standard! No procedure available? Then your creative brain kicks in and you come up with a solid plan of attack with your colleagues and/or supervisor. During the day you use your personal tool cart. At the end of your working day, you clean your tools and workplace, and you evaluate the work done on efficiency and effectiveness, so you can contribute to our continuous improvement process.
We ask:
- Vocational degree (MBO) in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Three (+) years relevant working experience in a technical field (e.g., in the offshore/shipbuilding industry)
- Affinity with technology and basic knowledge of hydraulics
- Strong team spirit, a proactive attitude and safety mindset
- Good communication skills, preferably both in Dutch and English
What we offer:
- A great work environment with innovative and change-willing aspirations
- High degree of responsibility and room to have significant impact.
- A monthly gross salary (to be discussed)
- Good secondary benefits (e.g., unlimited vacation days, annual bonus, non-contributory pension plan, I-phone, laptop).
- Training Academy for all your personal and professional development needs
