Job description

The Senior Contract Manager is a critical role within the exciting new Offshore Business focusing on the delivery of large-scale offshore wind projects in the United States and will be part of the Contracts Team under the Project Services Group, working with a global team to ensure the business has effective relationships to deliver against their strategies. This position will be instrumental in the entire lifecycle management of multi-million-dollar contracts right from contract conceptualization, development, negotiation, award, execution to closeout, ensuring business’ position and interest are suitably served & protected when working with the contractors under these contracts. This is a hybrid position in Boston, MA.

Job requirements

• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline – Engineering, Contract Management, Legal background, Project Management, Construction Management, or commercially orientated qualification
• IT literate, with the ability to operate Microsoft Office systems and other IT-based project management software. (Knowledge and previous experience of SAP is advantageous)
• Extensive commercial, contractual, technical, and practical knowledge of energy industry standards
• Experience managing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers preferably within the energy industry
• Experience with Requests for Proposals and tender processes for contracts
• Experience tracking contract information for implementation
• Extensive experience in the management of multidisciplinary contracting strategies
• Proven track record delivering complex contracts preferably within the energy industry
• Proactive and diligent approach with a high degree of self-motivation and flexibility in the event of unforeseen needs
• Excellent project management and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
