Job description

Your role as Project HR Coordinator: As a Project HR Coordinator, you are part of Van Oord’s Project Office. You play a crucial proactive role in the optimal allocation and planning of resources for projects. This requires you to work on location -> independently in a complex (project) organisation with many different stakeholders (e.g., project management, colleagues from different departments, (sub-)contractors, suppliers, joint venture partners, and clients) and as part of a team, while also being service-oriented. You need to address ad hoc planning issues to avoid delays in the execution of the projects. Also, you serve as a linking pin between the team and the rest of the organization. Hence, your focus of activities lies within a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities within a project (compliance, crew/staff rotations planning and organisation, client and country requirements, people logistics, registration of people and requirements).

Furthermore, it is critical that you collect, assess, and process (changes in) data in the assigned administration(s) and manage them. Hence, it is also crucial to archive (online) data and files appropriately and keep administrations and archives up to date, by monitoring quality and clarity. Also, you propose opportunities for improvement in the planning and deployment processes, procedures, and/or systems, support improvement initiatives, and/or implement improvements.

Job requirements

  • Demonstrable higher vocational intellectual and professional level;
  • Preferably two to four years of work experience in a similar position and in a project-based environment;
  • Preferably with experience or an education in HR;
  • Excellent command of the English language in word and writing;
  • An independent, stress-resistant and hands-on personality who can make decisions and works well in a vibrant team environment;
  • Analytical mindset, excellent communication skills and a flexible service-oriented attitude.
  • Willing to work in rotation
