The AB/Cook will be responsible for both deck operations and meal preparation on board our vessels. The ideal candidate will have experience in seamanship as well as cooking, ensuring that our crew is well-fed and safe.
Job description
- Perform general deck duties including maintenance, repair, and cleaning.
- Assist with navigation and watchkeeping.
- Handle mooring lines during docking and undocking operations.
- Prepare and cook meals for the crew, accommodating dietary restrictions as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized galley and food storage areas.
- Manage food inventory and order supplies as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the galley.
Job requirements
- Valid AB (Able Seaman) certification.
- Culinary experience and ability to prepare meals for a crew.
- STCW certification (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping).
- Valid Seafarer's Medical Certificate.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a challenging and dynamic environment.
