We start as an agent for worldwide transport over water. The first Atlas Transport Services office is set up in Weesp, a town next to Holland’s capital, Amsterdam.
After receiving the question “Can you also provide personnel?”, we expand into personnel services and start trading under the name of Atlas Personnel Services.
In addition to providing personnel for waterway contracting, we start to provide personnel to the oil and gas industry. We acquire a specialist in well services: Eurosailor BV, and change the company name to Atlas Services Group.
The new millenium brings with it a new corporate philosophy: growth through mergers and acquisitions. These added resources allow us to expand our scope and services for our clients and professionals.
In 2000, we acquire Tristar Well Service Pool BV: a Dutch company that provides personnel to the oil and gas industries. The phrase Energy & Marine professionals is added to the Atlas-logo.
In this year, we start up Atlas Employability Services. This is a separate department that supports employees who are no longer able to work in the Marine industry, and helps them build a career in another sector.
We acquire Dietsmann Technologies activities and Mariteam Personnel Services B.V (the Netherlands).
In 2004, we acquire Jaymar La Crosse (Brazil) and the staffing activities of Dutch Onshore Offshore Recruitment (D.O.O.R).
We open a new Atlas Jaymar do Brasil office, and acquire the HR activities of Focus Oil & Gas and Techno Work Group (the Netherlands).
We acquire International Crew Services (ICS) B.V. (the Netherlands).
We open new offices in Australia and Kazakhstan. We acquire Seistech (Newquay UK) and GSS (Gibraltar). In this year, we also set up our Ship Delivery department.
We open a new office in Singapore. We also introduce one brand, Atlas Services Group, for all 100% owned legal entities.
HAL Investments B.V. takes 45% stake in the Group. As a result, additional funding and resources become available to further expand and professionalise our business.
We celebrate our 30th anniversary. In 2012, we also acquire Cerno AS Norway and MSOP activity Bristol (UK).
We acquire GOSS Consultants (UK) and Geomotive (Spain). Further, we focus on and invest in Atlas as it is today. We develop our staff, aim for more efficiency and start to implement our revitalised corporate identity.
A new year with a new brand position, and a new brand name: “Atlas Professionals”. We take 25% stake in Subserv Pro Limited (UK), a specialist crewing consultancy for international offshore & subsea industries.
We opened a new office in Lowestoft (UK). In September, we acquired 100% interest of Subserv Pro Ltd. Three subsidiairies, South West Surveys, Geomotive and Subserv Pro, changed their brand names and became official Atlas Professionals offices.
On 10 July Atlas Professionals signed an agreement with Programmed Marine for the acquisition of their international activities and the formation of a 50/50 joint venture for offshore and marine manning services in Australia and New Zealand.

On 15 January Atlas Professionals acquires technical recruitment compnay Brander in Aberdeen, United Kingdom. We also opened an office in Boston, US.
Mariteam Personnel Services B.V. and Atlas Professionals merge activities as of 1 May 2020. Boris Kasteel is appointed CEO of Atlas Professionals in October 2020.
