As part of our client's engineering department, we are looking for an ROV Methods Engineer to integrate the Project Installation Engineering team during execution. The ROV Method Engineer will report to the Installation Offshore Methods Lead.  In addition to the requirements described in the main responsibilities section, specific and documented experience in ROV engineering is required. This includes ROV accessibility studies and reports, equipment ROV operating manuals, etc.

*THIS POSITION IS NOT REMOTE AND IS BASED IN HOUSTON, TEXAS.*


Responsibilities:

Participate to:

  • Project progress meeting,
  • Engineering co-ordination meetings
  • Interface meetings with Client, other Contractors and Sub-Contractors
  • Technical review meeting (concerning Procurement, Engineering, Fabrication, Operation, Interface)
  • HSE meetings
  • Risk Assessment

In charge of:

  • Issue, update & follow-up of the procedures and documents related to the scope
  • Installation Engineering development and studies related to the scope;
  • Prepare Technical Memos, Technical Queries to support any contractual deviation;
  • Preparation of input for installation activities presentations
  • Follow-up the Drafting activities related to the scope
  • Initiate all the equipment, installation aids & material documentation
  • Specify and follow up of the equipment, installation aids & material, including associated documentation
  • Review of the contract, the Qualifications, the Clarifications and Specifications for both Saipem and interfaces
  • Designing any required lift rigging;
  • Project operation report for the scope
  • Technical support for any presentation for the scope

Job requirements

  • Minimum Undergraduate degree from an accredited university in engineering (Structural, Mechanical, Civil, Etc.) .
  • Autocad and Inventor proficiency
  • 3-5 years of significant experience in the in the offshore Oil and Gas or Offshore Wind industry
  • Willing to spend short time (1-4 weeks) offshore on board installation vessels supporting offshore operations
