Atlas Professionals is in search of a dynamic and seasoned Team Lead Facilities Engineering for a client based in Harlingen. The primary role involves spearheading a team and collaborating with third-party contractors to drive forward facilities projects and production opportunities in alignment with Budget and Long-Range Plans. Responsibilities include overseeing technical and permit deliverables, implementing cost-efficient strategies to reduce operating expenses, and ensuring adherence to process safety management systems.
Job description
- Lead and advance facilities projects through various phases, adhering to specified processes.
- Develop scope, timeline, and resource allocation for major projects within the workgroup, assigning project managers as necessary and providing supervision.
- Coordinate disciplines to execute project plans, identify and address critical paths to meet milestones, and offer timely decision support packages, peer reviews, and evaluations.
- Monitor progress and costs against project plans, implementing mitigations and cost controls as needed.
- Define scopes of work and oversee third-party contractors for external studies when required.
- Review technical work, including drawing assessments, HAZOPS, HAZIDS, WHATIF analyses, SIMOPS, etc., and provide technical feedback on facility, process, mechanical, or civil aspects.
- Ensure smooth handover of engineering packages for construction and offer technical support during the construction phase.
- Apply and enhance the Management of Change (MoC) process and the Process Safety Management System (PSMS).
- Demonstrate exemplary HSE behaviors and visible leadership, adhering to company HSE policies, standards, and procedures, along with compliance to relevant acts, mining regulations, and operating permits.
- Identify, develop, and execute capital-efficient opportunities to increase production and decrease costs structurally.
- Develop annual budgets for Facilities-related capital expenditures.
- Establish clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback on progress against objectives.
Job requirements
- HBO/University degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in facilities, process, or project engineering.
- Supervisory or leadership experience.
- Proficiency in both written and verbal communication in English and Dutch is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proactive, team-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
