Job description
Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain dynamic positioning (DP) systems onboard vessels to ensure the safe and stable positioning of the vessel during offshore operations.
- Monitor vessel position and heading using DP system displays and sensors and take appropriate action to maintain position within defined tolerances.
- Conduct pre-deployment checks and tests of DP equipment and systems to verify their readiness for operation and troubleshoot any issues as necessary.
- Collaborate with the vessel's bridge team and other operational personnel to plan and execute DP operations in accordance with project requirements and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with DP operational procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements, including adherence to DP operational guidelines and industry standards.
- Monitor environmental conditions and vessel dynamics to anticipate and mitigate potential risks to DP operations, such as adverse weather, vessel traffic, and equipment failures.
Job requirements
- Previous experience as a DPO onboard DP vessels, with a demonstrated ability to operate DP systems effectively in various offshore environments and conditions.- Strong understanding of DP principles, equipment, and operational procedures
- Valid Dynamic Positioning (DP) Unlimited certificate.
- Valid STCW certifications
- Standard maritime certifications and documents.
- COVID booster vaccination.
