Procurement Specialist

Atlas Professionals is currently seeking an experienced procurement specialist for one of our clients in Alkmaar. The Procurement & Contracting Specialist offers vital support to the Supply Chain Department and its stakeholders. This role involves coordinating and facilitating procurement plans and strategies in alignment with Supply Chain Policies and Procedures. Additionally, the responsibilities include overseeing the supplier selection process, conducting contract negotiations, and managing contract execution and supplier relationships. The role entails completing designated tasks using standardized processes within clearly defined and established procedures.

Job description

• Managing the preparation, execution, and assessment of tenders and RFQs for goods and services ranging in value from approximately 10 thousand to 5 million euros.
• Developing tender strategies and providing recommendations for successful award.
• Drafting and preparing contracts for procurement activities.
• Taking the lead in contract negotiations with the assistance of the legal department.
• Managing and evaluating contract and supplier performance.
• Actively contributing to the enhancement and ongoing improvement of the Supply Chain department.

Job requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a comparable role, preferably within the oil & gas sector.
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English languages.
• NEVI 2 certification or equivalent.
• Technical background or strong interest in technical matters.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities across all organisational levels.
• Solid analytical skills.
• Experience in project management and adept at stakeholder management.
