Job description

In Full Intervention Mode concept or W2W, the Junior Operation Technician role combines the Operation/Plant Technician role of the Flying Squad/ W2W team with the position of Operation Technician in the Central Control Room. The role is assumed on an alternating basis, in an irregular schedule.

Incumbents in the position of the Flying Squad assist in preparations campaign-based interventions on installations, assisting the operational team.

This position is working alternating in CCR shifts, office hours and occasionally shifts offshore.

Incumbents in the position of the CCR role work in 3 shifts (morning- afternoon- nightshift) 8 hours as per shift working pattern.

What will you do?

As a Junior Operation Technician, you will follow a training program preparing you to fulfill the position of Operation/Plant Technician after approx. 1 year. You will report to the Asset Superintendents hierarchically and to the Senior Operating Technician functionally when seconded to the CCR (Central Control Room).

The JOT (Junior Operation Technician) will be attached to a SOT (Senior Operation Technician) or SPT (Senior Plant Technician) with the aim of training through on-site experience, exposure during planned and unplanned interventions under FIM or W2W.

The positions exposed to the following areas:

  • Flying squad or W2W onshore at supply base or offshore
  • Member of the CCR team at supply base
  • On offshore facilities

Activities as a Junior Operation Technician:

In the Flying Squad assisting as work preparator:

  • You assist in preparations of the planned campaign scope of the installations and of the unplanned visits of installations.

In the Flying Squad, offshore:

  • You assist Operations Interventions.
  • You assist on request by RSES(D) the offshore emergency response team.
  • You assist audits permits to work, for activities executed on the installation.

In the CCR:

  • You actively monitor all the assets from the ICSS.
  • You are assisted on request by EDM, the onshore emergency response team.
  • You assist in monitoring the sales on a 24/7 basis and report to the Senior FIM OT regarding the product sales is in line with the budget.
  • You early analyses trends and behaviors to early identify potential technical upsets.

Job requirements

Who are you?

  • You have a Diploma (MBO4), or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
  • You have a minimum of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • You are fluent in the English and Dutch language.
