Atlas Professionals Australia awarded AMMA 2018 Young Professional Award

2 August 2018

Atlas Professionals Australia’s Senior Industrial Relations Advisor Shelby Bailey (27) proudly received the 2018 Young Professional Award at the AMMA Centenary Gala Dinner held on 1 August. The award recognises an individual who, in a short period of time, has had a positive and noticeable impact on workforce-related processes or practices within their organisation.

AMMA Industry Awards 2018

The AMMA Industry Award recognises that, in a short period of time (6 months’ employment) and whilst simultaneously studying part time for a law degree in Industrial Relations, Shelby has made a significant contribution to the Industrial Relations sphere at Atlas Professionals. She displays all the attributes of a young professional, and her attitude, dedication and work ethic have been a source of inspiration to her co-workers.
The award was presented by Senator for Queensland and Minister for Resources and Northern Australia Matt Canavan. Accepting the award at the AMMA Centenary Gala Dinner in Melbourne, Shelby said: “I have only worked for Atlas Professionals for a short period of time. However, the culture and environment that have been created by our CEO Jim Caldwell and the rest of the team is something we should be very proud of. It really is a great place and somewhere I am proud to work”.

Nomination for 2018 Indigenous Engagement & Retention Award

Atlas Professionals also takes pride in its nomination for the 2018 Indigenous Employment and Retention Award. This AMMA Industry Award nomination recognises the hard work of Atlas Professionals’ Training and Indigenous Compliance Advisor Lauren Jakson on the Broome Indigenous Trainee and Cadet Partnership Program. Having a deep passion and commitment to Indigenous engagement activities and training, Lauren quickly rose to the challenge when Atlas was requested to provide advice to our client at the start of 2018, demonstrating exceptional knowledge and commitment to the goal.
