On 23 and 24 October, Atlas Professionals attended the Offshore Energy Exhibition and Conference at the RAI in Amsterdam. Offshore Energy is the only dedicated offshore event in the Netherlands focusing on the Oil & Gas, Offshore Wind and Marine Energy industries.
The meeting place for industry experts
With over 10,000 unique visitors and over 600 exhibitors, Offshore Energy is the place for industry experts to meet, share knowledge and connect with each other. The accompanying two-day conference discussed during keynotes, thematic sessions and master classes this year’s theme Explore. Inspire. Transform.
Joost Pellis speaker at Offshore Wind Conference
At the Offshore Wind Conference our colleague Joost Pellis, Strategic Manager Renewables, shared his vision about human capital in the session about ‘New technologies and new talents in Offshore Wind’. The session, attended by over 150 people, looked at the latest technologies in wind such as floating wind turbines and discussed the human capital issues related to this booming industry.
Experience climbing a Wind Turbine in VR
Many professionals and clients eagerly made use of the opportunity to experience climbing a wind turbine in Virtual Reality (VR). In partnership with Stark Learning, visitors of our stand got the chance to experience the job of a wind technician in VR, which was a great success!
And the winner is…
Passing by our stand was not only an excellent opportunity to discuss talking points in the industry, check out our HR services in Energy, Marine and Renewables and the latest jobs in our specialist areas. It was also the ideal moment to test your industry knowledge in our quiz. The prize? A LEGO Technic Ocean Explorer, won by Joeri Heeling from Bolster Safety. Congratulations, Joeri! We look forward to seeing a picture of the assembled vessel soon.
In short, the exhibition – and especially our social event on Tuesday afternoon – was the ideal opportunity for us to catch up with clients and professionals and hear developments in the industry. The exhibition was a great success and we look forward to participating in it again in 2019.
